“How to fight scams?” should be
second to “how to prevent scams?” if we talk about free classified ads. I remember my grandmother repeating a proverb
“all that glitters is not gold”. Best deals are always enticing,
but how many of that hatch is the point. Classifieds sound to be an
easier vehicle to buy merchandise at marked down prices. What does it
say? A few clicks away! You never know you would be robbed with one
click. I’m running my own ethical free classified ad
website. By ethical, I want to stress that it is safe for you,
against all odds of internet predators. Even though I recommend you
that keep your eyes open against the internet scams. Here I give a
few tips for you to rest in peace:
- Try to avoid overseas transactions until you know the exact geographic address of their office.
- Never share your financial information (like bank account number, credit card number, etc.) on free classified ads portals & others too.
- Never share your personal information on classified ad portals.
- Don’t send money orders to incomplete addresses and P.O. Box addresses.
- Don’t receive any fake money orders as law may trap you in the strange fraud later.
- Entertain local deals instead of distant deals involving shipping.
Classified ads scams are real
